The Bushnell Girls do Legoland!

My friend Elizabeth runs a home-day-care, and she got a great "group rate" for Legoland. She invited us to join her, and we did. We also invited Fran's buddy Colby and his family. The "big kids" had a terrific time. We got there when the park opened at 10 a.m., and stayed until it closed at 8 at night, then drove through McD's for dinner on the way home.


Abby got a little frustrated, because she was too short for many of the rides... "When are they gonna be done?!"



Legoland has a nice waterplay area. The big kids were off on their own, on waterslides, shooting water at other kids, and waiting for a huge bucket to fill up and dump on top of them! Abigail and I explored the area for little kids. It was a hot day, and the water felt great.




Frances and Colby rode together on the boats that kids really drive. It's a good thing that Fran has 8 more years until she can get a driver's license... when she and Colby returned to the dock, their boat was facing completely backward, and there were another 5 boats bottlenecked behind them! Colby looks humiliated to even be in the boat!

We did manage to find several rides that Abigail could do. She liked "driving" the jeep on the safari ride. There were a few rides that she was tall enough for (she is 36.5 inches tall) but she wasn't quite brave enough for them!
