Rub-a-Dub-Dub

Here are the two little Bushnells in the bathtub. Abigail loved it, and Frances did a great job keeping her baby sister safe.



Today we went walking in the neighborhood (by ourselves, IN CHINA) to the local park. It's a huge park, but we did not find any play equipment, so Frances wanted to go back to the hotel. We went to lunch next door at the Holiday Inn Express (it is less expensive than the restaurant at our hotel) and I had hoped to go swimming in the hotel pool after lunch. However, Abby fell asleep at the table, so we had to go back to our room. Frances went to the pool with Caleb and his family, so she was happy. I, on the other hand, have not even seen the pool yet. I am thankful that all of us families have agreed to share our photos with each other! For lunch, the Bushnells shared "noodles with beef," kind of like Top Ramen. Both Frances and Abby loved the noodles, so Mom got broth and cilantro for lunch! Later this afternoon, the woman who runs the foster home connected with the Zhengzhou orphanage is going to come and pick up my little family, and take us to the foster home for a visit. I have gotten to know her fairly well through the ZZ yahoo group, and the CCAI rep knows her as well. We are all getting a little stir-crazy here at the hotel The neighborhood is not really set up for tourists! One of the families walked to McDonald's today. You turn left from the hotel, and walk about 30 minutes down the street. Crosing the street here is definitely an adventure! The drivers all act like lunatics, and the sidewalk is also for motorscooters and bicycles, not just pedestrians! But we are going to have to branch out and do some exploring, because it's only Thursday, and we are here until Monday!
